I'm pretty excited right now, I played the first one a bit ago and it was awesome. Let's see how this one is...
Nice expanding menu buttons, medals are a plus... wierd, Credits doesn't work. It says Failed to Connect.
You should be able to go back from starting a game, I forgot to read the instructions. Also the voices are always cut off at the very end, it really detracts from the game.
Oh, epic, there are ingame instructions. And the ingame voices don't seem to be cut off, just the cutscene ones. Also no arms = <3... You should make auto-duck when going under low platforms. Drowned Al to see what would happen, was disappointed by a mere failure screen. A small animation, maybe some screaming, please.
Wierd, you can climb ladders without arms. Lol I just noticed their hats look like short penises. Oh dang, I pushed a boulder into a wall on accident, you should make something to stop that...
Why does the stubbly one, #2, have hard nipples? And a cast section, with hilarious bios and stuff, would be awesome.
Stuck on level 13 and I don't see how I could win, so bye! I have 3 characters at the end but I can't seem to get the fourth up past the first red button.
Darnit, I found you can actually fall off that tall ladder onto it. Oh well, I'm too tired and bored to finish this. You might want to make it a bit more exciting or fast, there's too much walking wait time.

It's always interesting when people review something as they go along with it :P
I never thought about the idea of having a Bio section, that would actually be pretty cool

I played the original Amorphous, and while it was fun, I found it lacking - mostly because there was no save function. Amorphous+ has fulfilled my expectations and more. The awards are pretty humorous in their own right, and I love the little drawings made specifically for each one. The only problem would be that the Rewards are confusing. How many awards do you need for each one? A better system would be to give Reward points for each award - higher points for harder/better awards - and let the player buy rewards with those points.
Author's Response:
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it.
You're right in that the Reward unlocking mechanic is not expressly clear, there are a couple of Tips that address it, but since those come up randomly it wasn't probably the best way to get that information across.
Every 10 Awards you earn earns you a Reward Key to unlock any reward you want ('cept that last one, that one's special). There are 110 Awards and 11 Normal Rewards to unlock.
Each individual Award is "worth" essentially the same thing (1/10th of a Reward Key) but obviously they vary wildly in difficulty to gain. This makes it so that the more you play, the harder it gets to continue to unlock things, sort of artificially raising the difficulty of the game as you go along. It also lets you grab up a bunch of the early Awards pretty easily so that you can get a couple Rewards early on. In that vien, people who don't feel like playing forever to try and discover all the Awards still get to play with a few of the Toys, and the hardcore people still have something to go after.
Again... all that probably could have been clearer.
Anyway, great to see you're happy with the improvements in Amorphous+! Hope you enjoy playing with it and good luck!

I liked it, but it was short and the clock bit was not very obvious. The DarkEye part was cool, but could you have some hints? The Tab key makes it too easy and without it it's pretty pixelhuntish in places.
Some typos and such:
In instructions, it says the goal is "mostly puzzle sloving". It should be "solving".
Instructions says "If your lost", it should be "you're" for "if you are lost".
When Holden talks about Hubert, it says "rescure operations" and "enducation".
Holden says "without a plan to destroy his REGIEME".
He also says "personal BUISNESS to ATEND to.. how YOUR going".

The system is good, the idea is good, the graphics are amazing. I loved the ghost cursors and rooms... the only bug I could find is that even when the "freeze ball when moving wormhole" thing is on, the ball moves unless you press space.

Nothing much to improve, really. I really liked how you didn't just make a song to the Pokemon song, you actually made the lyrics similar (i.e. "gotta punch 'em all" instead of "gotta catch 'em all"). The idea was clever, and the execution was great, too. If I really was forced to pick out a problem, I'd say the bit about the kneeing ("He kneed me and he kneed you" and the surrounding bits) didn't really fit the song. And if I had to pick an improvement, I'd say don't use sprites, use real SSBM or Brawl videos. Thanks for the movie, it was great!
Author's Response:
If I used real videos, it'll just be a video, and everyone'll complain that it won't belong on Newgrounds. Also, it just won't be my own work.

I've often written reviews saying that the concept is great, but the execution wasn't too good. But this... this just blew me away. I mean, seriously, it was amazing. Really cool idea of the spinning blocks and such, had a faint illusionish feel to it... you know when you see an optical illusion like the one with the old woman, then you see the young woman with the necklace and you're like "HOLY SPIT! I SEE IT!"? Sort of like that... I look forward to more of your work. My only complaint was that the resolution was pretty bad. And was that porn in the TVs in the background?

The idea was great. Multiple Blobulars going across the land? Cool. But the game just wasn't fun. Two minutes of just swinging around trying to get that last mushroom isn't really entertaining... The interface wasn't... quick enough? It's really hard to describe... You know those racing games where you turn around a corner, but your car keeps going in the same direction and you hit the wall? It's like that. Your blob doesn't turn quick enough, it's not very exciting.

Clicking "Start Mission" doesn't do anything. Sounds good though, and nice graphics for the menu and such.

I played it, it was pretty entertaining (Reverse Polymorph FTW). However, I'd like it if you put in real leveling, so you got skill points and such, and noticably got stronger. Right now either there's no strength increase, or it's miniscule.

It's okay, but really, there's no strategy or whatever. It was essentially buttonmashing, with the occasional special. Great graphics though.
